My name is Devin Lawrence, and I am a freelance writer from Richmond, Virginia. I’ve been an avid fan of fiction literature ever since I was young and spent most of my adolescence poring over one book series after another. Some of my favorites from back in the day include Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Ender’s Game, Ender’s Shadow, The Edge Chronicles, and the various works of John Marco.
I pursued my first serious piece of writing when I was only twelve and ended up putting far more time and effort into an English class project than I’d ever intended. That experience made me realize that I didn’t just enjoy reading but also wanted to learn how to write just as well as the authors who had so enthralled my young mind. Thus began my journey to where I am today.
Over the last ten years, I have poured untold amounts of time, energy, and money into honing my writing skills as much as I can. I’ve studied fiction and non-fiction, learned the art of storytelling and communication, and come farther than I ever thought I would when I wrote my first short story. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Writing from Old Dominion University and currently work as a Copywriter with The Writers For Hire, one of the most well-regarded ghostwriting firms in the country.
